Terms of use
Last updated 26 October 2026
The short version
firsthires.live is a free index of startup jobs. We don’t take applications, charge job seekers or sell placement. Check details on the company’s site before you rely on them, and please don’t scrape or republish the index.
1. About these terms
These terms apply whenever you use firsthires.live. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
firsthires.live is made and operated by AnotherAgent, a technology consulting company in London (“we”, “us”).
2. What firsthires.live is
firsthires.live is a free index of open roles at privately held, early-stage startups. We read roles from public careers pages and job boards, then send you to the company’s own site to apply.
Startups only: privately held, founded in the last 10 years, under 500 people, Series C or earlier.
We are not an employer, recruiter, employment agency or employment business. In particular, we:
- do not host applications, accept CVs or pass your details to companies
- do not charge job seekers anything
- do not take payment from companies to list, rank or promote a role
- do not take part in any hiring decision
When you apply, you deal with the company directly, on its site and under its terms and privacy policy.
3. Listings and accuracy
Listings come from sources we don’t control. We re-read each company’s job board about once an hour, and remove a role once it is missing from two complete reads. A role can still close or change between reads.
Some details are worked out by us rather than stated by the company:
- salaries posted in other currencies are converted to US dollars as an estimate
- role category and workplace type are classified automatically
- stage, team size, founding year and investors come from public directories and may be out of date
We can’t promise that a role is open, that its details are right, or that a company will reply. Check the details on the company’s site before relying on them. If something looks wrong, use Report listing on the role’s page.
4. Using the site
You’re welcome to browse, search, filter and share links to firsthires.live for your own job search, or to point someone else to a role.
Please don’t:
- copy, scrape or republish the index, or a substantial part of it, for example to build a competing service
- access the site with automated tools in a way that ignores robots.txt or puts a heavy load on it
- interfere with the site’s security, its ads or its count of apply clicks
- send false, abusive or automated reports
- use the site to break the law, or to send spam to companies or people
We may block access that breaks these rules.
5. Reports, companies and removal
Reports. When you report a listing, we store the reason and any note you add. We use reports to correct or remove listings. Please don’t put personal information in a note.
Companies. Listing is automatic and free for eligible startups. There is no account, no posting form and no paid placement. Company and investor names, logos and descriptions belong to their owners, and we show them only to identify a company, the firms that back it, and its open roles.
Corrections and removal. A company can ask us to correct its page or remove it using the request form at firsthires.live/bot#removal. We act only on requests sent from an address on the company’s own domain. Removal marks the company do-not-list, closes its roles here and stops our discovery from adding it again.
We may decline to list, or remove, any company or role at our discretion.
6. Content, advertising and other sites
Our content. The site’s design and code, and the way we compile and present listings, belong to us. Job descriptions belong to the companies that wrote them. We remove personal email addresses and phone numbers from descriptions before storing them, and we don’t republish Hacker News comment text. If you think something on the site infringes your rights, tell us through the request form and we’ll look at it promptly.
Advertising. We show Google AdSense ads in labelled slots. Ads never change the order of roles and never sit beside an Apply button. We don’t endorse advertisers, and Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to its ads.
Other sites. Roles link to company sites and applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse, Ashby and Lever. We’re not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or hiring decisions.
7. Liability, changes and the law
Availability. firsthires.live is free and provided as it is. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time, and we don’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Privacy. Our Privacy policy explains what we store about visitors, companies and listings. In short: job seekers don’t create an account, and we never see your application.
Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top, and we’ll flag significant changes on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Law and disputes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of your country’s mandatory consumer laws.
Contact. Questions about these terms, or requests about a listing, go through the request form at firsthires.live/bot#removal. Please include the page you’re writing about.
